30 Blogs of November: Day 6 – Unprompted

Before I started this blog challenge, I vowed that I would do my best to avoid using prompts. I thought it would be more challenging to come up with my own ideas rather than use one of the ideas listed on a site like Plinky or the Daily post.

Six days into it, I am starting to think that yeah, maybe I could use one or two of them during the month. I have used them in the past and they are a great way of combating the dreaded writers’ block, but I thought that using them during a 30 day blog challenge would be a bit like cheating. ┬áNow I know that WordPress and BlogHer are recommending using prompts and giving some I feel more inclined to use them, but I still want to try and do it myself, if you know what I mean, even if my own ideas end up being a load of rubbish. At the end of the day, this is ultimately meant to be a bit of fun designed to boost my creativity and I’m going to do my best to treat it as such.

In the meantime, I am going to read some of the other blogs doing the NaBloPoMo thing to see what they’re talking about.
